First 1,000 Days Community Innovation Fund opens

16 Feb 2022

One off grants from $15,000 to $100,000 for kaupapa that support the First 1,000 Days of a baby’s life are available now - especially for community driven solutions, to community and whānau need.

Find out about the Community Innovation Fund.

If your community, or one you know, is doing bold new things around pre-conception, contraception, maternal mental health, pregnancy or baby’s first two years, please get in touch.

Te Hiringa Hauora wants to amplify the community expertise that exists around the country – particularly if it’s a bit ‘out of the box’ and getting results. We are very interested in work that is lead from a Māori or Pasifika world view.

Robust evidence shows it is critical to invest in the first 1,000 days, so that every child gets the strongest start to life. We must act early. Even earlier than we think.

Te Hiringa Hauora partners with people who are leading innovative projects that support intergenerational change and equity for pēpi, māma, pāpā and all involved in the First 1,000 Days of baby’s life.

We want to listen, we want to learn. We also want to make it as easy as possible to apply. We’ll even help you fill out any forms. Heoi, whakapā mai. So, get in touch.

Registrations of interest close Friday 18 March 2022, 12 noon.
