Services we provide
Orthotics providers are responsible for the assessment for and fitting of orthotic products in liaison with the referring healthcare provider.
Orthotic products generally assist or restrict movement to aid rehabilitation or correct the shape or function of the body and include:
- postural supports
- compression aids
- shoes
- collars
- braces
- cranial helmets.
These are different from prosthetics (artificial limbs) and there is a different contract for these devices.
Referral information
Funded orthotic services in Waikato are available through referral from a healthcare provider. There may be a part-charge for some orthotic devices.
