Services we provide
Audiology services in Tairāwhiti include:
- diagnostic hearing assessments for tamariki up to age 16
- hearing aid fitting and follow up for tamariki with permanent or significant hearing loss
- diagnostic hearing assessments for patients referred by the ear, nose and throat department
- diagnostic hearing assessment for ototoxicity monitoring (for people exposed to ototoxic medications)
- assessment and fitting for bone-anchored hearing aid implants
- newborn hearing screening and early intervention programme.
